Jack Wright is an assistant professor of film at Ohio University, the founder of June Appal Records and one of the founders of Appalshop in Whitesburg, Ky. He has been making films since 1985 and wrote the essay on ’Äúdocumentary films’Äù for the Encyclopedia of Appalachia. He is the supervisor of the Jack Spadaro Documentary Award ¬ÝWright ¬Ýsponsored by the Appalachian Studies Association. He has taught many WV filmmakers including David Brock.
